MINUTES OF A WORKSHOP MEETING OF THE GILCHRIST COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HELD FEBRUARY 18, 1992
The Gilchrist County Board of County Commissioners convened in a workshop meeting February l8,l992, at 7:00 P.M., in the Commissioner's Meeting Room at the Courthouse in Trenton, Florida, with the following members present to-wit:
Others in attendance were Jackie R. Barron, Ex-Officio Clerk; Glenda Patterson, Deputy Clerk; Ted Burt, County Attorney; Carl Rehberg, Building Official and John Richards, North Central Florida Regional Planning Council. An attendance roster is on file in the Clerk's Office listing those members of the public who were present.
Chairman Sheffield opened the workshop meeting announcing its' purpose to be review and discussion of comprehensive plan revisions.
There followed a lengthy discussion among board members and other persons in attendance concerning the proposed plan. Cindy Barton, Attorney representing GenFarm Limited Partnership IV spoke on behalf of her client and Phil Gornicki of Florida Forestry Association spoke regarding DCA's position on buffers on perennial rivers, streams and creeks in that they (Pol. V 2.l5) may go back to BMP's which would be 35 feet only instead of 50 feet. Others spoke concerning the proposed plan. A tape recording of this meeting is on file in the Clerk's Office.
Members agreed to the concept of the 35' buffer and BMP language on Pol V 2.l5.
Mr. Burt announced no action can be taken at this time because this is a workshop, however a public hearing will be scheduled in the near future for final action.
There being no other business to come before the Board at this time, motion was made by Commissioner Wilkerson to adjourn at 9:55 P.M., seconded by Commissioner Jones and the meeting adjourned.
