MINUTES OF AN EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE GILCHRIST COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HELD MAY 10, 1993

The Gilchrist County Board of County Commissioners, in and for Gilchrist County, Florida, convened in an emergency meeting on May 10, 1993, at 3:20 p.m., at the Gilchrist County Sheriff's Department, Trenton, Florida, with the following members present to-wit:

Fred Wilkerson, Chairman

Wilbur Bush

V. C. Cannon

Sue B. Suggs

Other persons in attendance were: Jackie R. Barron, Ex-Officio Clerk and Emory Philman, Philman Enterprises.

Chairman Wilkerson stated that the purpose for this emergency meeting is to discuss the failure of the drain field for the septic system at the county jail. The current drain field was constructed in a clay field by excavating and backfilling, and according to Mr. Philman, the drain field will need to be replaced. Mr. Philman stated that he could replace the drain field for $9850, if the county furnished the fill dirt. He estimates 50 loads would be needed. Commissioner Bush made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Suggs, to approve the quote given by Mr. Philman, along with the plan provided by the Health Inspector. The motion carried unanimously.

There being no further business to discuss, a motion to adjourn at 3:55 p.m. was made by Commissioner Bush, seconded by Commissioner Suggs, and unanimously approved.
